Visits to Vida from local schools give abuelitos an opportunity to spend time sharing with young people. Past intergenerational activities have included demonstrations of dances like cumbia and tango, followed by dancing in intergenerational pairs, interviews leading to newspaper articles and personal essays and, for the very youngest, intergenerational table games.

Participating schools have included the Oyster Bilingual School, Mary Reed Learning Center, the Washington International School, and the Latin American Youth Center.
