SERVICES

What distinguishes Vida Senior Centers is the one-on-one and small-group attention brandished on all abuelitos who come through Vida’s doors. Our programs and services are provided at no cost to abuelitos and their families. They are delivered bilingually, and cater to the many cultures represented by our abuelitos.

Wellness

All of the services provided under Vida’s Wellness Program help put abuelitos on the path to healthier living, ensuring that theylead the independent lives that will keep them from full-care institutions for as long as possible.

Counseling

Vida offers support and encouragement to help abuelitos stay in control of their independence and to receive the information and resources they need to do so.

Community Support

The services provided under Vida’s Community Support Program allow abuelitos the opportunities they need to receive health and social services, to acquire the skills to become life-long learners, and to socialize and interact with the greater District community. Most importantly, they help put an end to the isolation abuelitos, like most seniors, often face at home and in their community.

In-Home Services

Vida’s growing in-home services allow those abuelitos who are unable to attend Vida, either due to health conditions or limited mobility, to receive basic services like commodity food and support with everyday household work.
